Centered on the theme of Waste to Energy, it encourages participants to turn environmental challenges into practical solutions through hands on problem-solving, expert guidance, and real-world industry involvement.
As the world moves toward sustainability, Saudi Arabia is leading the way, and CITEthon plays a key role by supporting Saudi Vision 2030 through its focus on energy efficiency and sustainability, aiming to build a greener, more resilient future for the Kingdom and beyond!

Open to all university students from any major. Form a team of 3-5 members.
12 teams will participate. Only the top 8 teams will advance to Day 2.
4 mentors per day from industry and academia will rotate between teams offering
feedback and support.
Teams will receive access to workshops, expert mentorship, and collaborative
workspaces.
No prototype, code, or design is required. The only mandatory outcome is a professional and detailed presentation of your idea. However, if your team wishes to include additional materials (e.g., sketches, mockups, basic models), they are welcome and can enhance your pitch.
We recommend doing a brief reading about waste-to-energy concepts and coming up with a basic idea or solution related to the theme. There’s no need for deep research,just enough to spark creativity and help your team start off strong!s.
